NODYN Y CADEIRYDD / AWORD FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Fel Cadeirydd Pwyllgor Cymdeithas Amaethyddol Dyffryn Conwy mae’n bleser
o’r mwyaf eich croesawu yma i’r Sioe eto eleni.
Mae llwyddiant y Sioe yn dibynnu i raddau helaeth ar y tywydd ar y diwrnod, ond
mae’r gwaith mwyaf yn digwydd mewn gwahanol bwyllgorau ac yn ystod yr
wythnos cyn y Sioe. Mae ein diolch pennaf i’n hysgrifenyddes ymroddedig Miss
Dorothy Roberts, gan mai hi sydd â’r gwaith caled o gael y rhaglen i drefn. Diolch
i ysgrifenyddion yr adrannau am eu gwaith hwythau yn dod â phethau i drefn, ac
i Dylan Owen, ein trysorydd gofalus a thrylwyr.
Ni fuasai’n bosibl cynnal sioe heb haelioni teulu Tñ Gwyn, yn caniatâu defnydd o’r
caeau a theuluoedd Berth Ddu a Nant Isa am feysydd parcio.
Cofiwn hefyd gyda diolch, i’r llu o noddwyr a chefnogwyr am bob rhodd i’r
gyllideb gan fod costau yn cynyddu o flwyddyn i flwyddyn.
Pleser o’r mwyaf yw cydweithio gyda’r nifer o wirfoddolwyr i baratoi’r cae cyn y
diwrnod mawr – a chlirio wedyn. Diolch.
Diolch i bawb sy’n cydweithio mewn unrhyw fodd i sicrhau llwyddiant y Sioe, a
gobeithio y cawn dywydd braf i fwynhau’r cyfan. Rhaid cofio a diolch i’r nifer fawr
o gystadleuwyr sydd yn mynychu’r Sioe yn flynyddol ac i’r beirniaid am ddod o
bell ac agos.
Pleser yw croesawu ein llywydd am eleni, Mrs Margaret Lloyd Jones, Berth Ddu
gynt. Mae’n adnabyddus i gylch eang fel cystadleuydd gyda’i defaid Jacob ac wedi
bod yn gefnogol iawn i sioeau bach a mawr dros y blynyddoedd. Edrychwn
ymlaen am ei chwmni ar y diwrnod.

As Chairman of The Vale of Conwy Agriculture Society it is my privilege to welcome you
all to the Show again this year.
The success of the Show depends to a large extent on the weather on the day, but most of the
work is done in various committies during the year and the week prior to the Show.
Our hearfelt thanks goes to Miss Dorothy Roberts, our dedicated and hard working
secretary who puts so much into getting everything organised for the event. Our
appreciation also goes to the various section secretaries for their part in ensuring everything
goes to plan, and most of all to Dylan Owen our treasurer who has to balance the books at
the end of the day.
It would not be possible to hold the Show without the generosity of Mrs Mair Williams and
Mr and Mrs Emyr Roberts, Tñ Gwyn for the loan of the fields and the Berth Ddu and Nant
Isa families for parking fields.
We are also indebted to the many sponsors and supporters for their continued financial
support in these days of rising costs.
It is indeed a pleasure to work with the many volunteers that come to prepare the fields for
the big event, and to clear everything afterwards – thank you.
Our thanks goes to everyone who has worked or contributed in any way to the success of the
Show and let us hope for a fine day, for all to enjoy.
We must not forget in our thanks the many exhibitors that come to support the Show year
in year out and the judges that come from far and near.
It is indeed a pleasure to welcome our president for this year, Mrs Margaret Lloyd Jones,
formerly of Berth Ddu. Mrs Jones is well known as an exhibitor of Jacob sheep and has been
a keen supporter of small and large shows over the years. We look forward to your company
at the Show.
