RHEOLAU / RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1.Entries for all sections must reach the Secretary by Wednesday, 18th August. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW.
  2.One Free Admission Ticket will be given to Exhibitors who have paid over £5.00 in entry fees, provided that these entries are received by Tuesday, August 17th.
  3.Dishes, plates, stands and vases must be provided by the Exhibitor.
  4.All Exhibitors cards will be provided when exhibits are staged.
  5.Owners of exhibits shall be responsible that their exhibits are placed in the correct classes.
  6.All exhibits to be staged and the tent cleared by 10.15 a.m.
  7.Whenever possible varieties of Fruit, Flowers and Vegetables to be named.
  8.No Exhibitors cars to be left on the main showground after 10.30 a.m.
  9.No Exhibitors to remain in the tent during Judging.
10.No Exhibits to be removed before 4.30 p.m. IT IS INTENDED TO ADHERE STRICTLY TO THIS RULE.
11.The Committee will take all reasonable care of the exhibits but will not be liable or answerable for any loss or damage that may occur from any cause whatsoever.
12.For the purpose of this Show, an Amateur is a person who does not employ paid assistance for more than one day a week and is not employed in private or public gardens.
13.Exhibitors must declare their entries to be their own bona-fide property and must have been in their possession for at least two months prior to the Show.
14.The Committee may appoint two of its members to make enquiries in case of doubt or complaint and visit Exhibitors’ gardens. Refusal to permit enquiries will disqualify the exhibitor and his awards will be withheld.
15.The Judges’ decision to be final.
16.Any prize-money may be withheld if the Judges deem that the prize is not merited.

17.In the case of disagreement the Secretary may be requested to call upon some members of the Committee to appoint a Referee.
18.All objections to be made in person and produced in writing to the Secretary and a deposit of £1.00 made at the same time, before 3 p.m. of the day of the Show and to be dealt with by a Protest Committee before the Show closes. The deposit will be returned if the protest or objection is proven valid. The Committee may withold prizes if they are satisfied that any breach of the rules and regulations has been made even though no protest has been made.
19.All prize-money will be paid at 3 p.m. on the day of the Show in the Horticulture Marquee.
20.All cups unless won outright must be returned to the Treasurer or Secretary by 30th June, 2011.

All Challenge Cups to be won three times in succession or five times in all.
Winners of all Perpetual Cups will receive replicas.

Rule 13 does not apply in this section.
ENTRIES FOR FLORAL ART SECTION MUST BE IN HAND BEFORE FRIDAY MORNING, 20th AUGUST OWING TO NECESSITY OF ALLOCATING SPACES. SPACE ALLOWED 30 INCHES WIDE, HEIGHT UNLIMITED.
