LIGHT HORSE SECTION
Rules
•The committee do not hold themselves responsible for any accident to any person, animal or vehicle.
•This Timetable is approximate only.
•Correct entry fees must accompany all entries.
•The committee reserve the right to cancel or alter the rotation of events as may be required.
•The committee reserve the right to refuse any entry, and their decision is final.
•The judges decision is FINAL in all events.
•No Entry fees will be returned.
•Please collect numbers from Light Horse Section Secretary’s tent on the day.
•All competitors are expected to know, understand and abide by the rules and regulations as set out by the committee and the respective societies under which their classes are judged.
•All cups and trophies are to be returned to the general show secretary at least ONE MONTH before the show date.
•All riders will be required to wear APPROVED HARD HATS to current Safety standards and correct footwear suitable for riding.
•No horse or pony is to exceed trot except in the designated practice area or when being exhibited in the rings.
•Any person may submit a protest. All protests shall be made in writing to the society within HALF AN HOUR of judging the particular class. All protests must be accompanied by a deposit of TEN POUNDS which amount shall be returned to the depositor if the protest is sustained, otherwise to be forfeited to the show. This rule will be strictly adhered to.
•Any mare which has a foal at foot may not be shown in ridden classes.
•Spurs may not be worn by competitors in any Junior showing class. No whips or spurs will be allowed in the gymkhana.
•Any person seen to be using whips, or spurs in an inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the show ground immediately.
CHILDREN’S RIDING PONY CLASSES
BRITISH SHOW PONY SOCIETY RULES: 189/10
This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (B.S.P.S.) and all persons entering or competing, showing or otherwise taking part in the B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S., shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S., including the disciplinary procedures. Any pony taking part in classes judged under B.S.P.S. rules will be liable to dope testing.
This show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Championship Show to be held at the Arena UK Showground. The 1st and 2nd prize winners only in the following classes H72 to H76; 1st, 2nd and 3rd from classes H70 & H71 and 1st to 4th from class H77, provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 23 and 28, and ridden by a B.S.P.S. member.
This is also a qualifying show for the B.S.P.S. PA Travel Trust Association Challenge. The highest placed pony in the Lead Rein, First Ridden, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter that has not qualified for 2010 H.O.Y.S., will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the B.S.P.S. Travel Trust Association Challenge, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.
If after qualifying the pony qualifies for the H.O.Y.S. 2010, it will forfeit its rights to qualification for the B.S.P.S. Travel Trust Association Challenge. This show is also a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Rider of the Year, B.S.P.S. Premier League and Black Country Saddles.
The organiser, landowner or committee do not accept liability for accidents, damages, loss, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any person or property whatsoever.
Entry Fees for classes B.S.P.S./CHAPS Classes £5.50. Other classes £4.00. Gymkhana: £1.00 per game.
Light Horse Section Prize-money: 1st. £5.00; 2nd. £3.00; 3rd. £2.50; 4th. Rosette.
A rosette will be given to the highest placed competitor in each class who is resident within the Vale of Conwy; such residents should wear a red armband.
JUNIOR RIDDEN CLASSES
This section is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society 189/10.
Classes are judged in accordance with their 2010 rules. This show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. championships.

H70RIDDEN INTERMEDIATE SHOW RIDING TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, exceeding 146cm, not exceeding 153cm. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
H71RIDDEN INTERMEDIATE SHOW RIDING TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, exceeding 153cm and not exceeding 158cm. Riders must not have attained their 25th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
H72BEST RIDDEN PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over. Exceeding 138cm but not exceeding 148cm. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
THE FRON FRANCIS PERPETUAL CUP WILL BE AWARDED.
H73BEST RIDDEN PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over. Exceeding 128cm, but not exceeding 138cm. Riders not to have attained their 15th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
H74BEST RIDDEN PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over. Not exceeding 128cm. Riders not to have attained their 13th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
THE TRELLECH GLOWORM PERPETUAL CUP WILL BE AWARDED.
H75FIRST RIDDEN PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over. Not exceeding 122cm. Riders not to have attained their 10th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
H76LEAD REIN PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cm. Riders not to have attained their 7th birthday before January 1st in the current year.
THE KAMMERLING CHALLENGE CUP WILL BE AWARDED.
H77MIXED HEIGHT NOVICE SHOW PONY, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 148cm. Riders must be the correct age for the pony they ride.
Prize-money in Classes H70-H77 kindly sponsored by The Red Lion Hotel, Llanrwst.
JUNIOR RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES
H78FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE WINNERS from classes H75 and H76 to compete for the B.S.P.S. Mini Championship. B.S.P.S. Champion and Reserve rosettes will be awarded. The Champion will qualify for the B.S.P.S. The Davint Stud Champion of Champions.
H79FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE WINNERS from classes H72, H73 and H74 will compete for the Show Pony Championship. B.S.P.S. Champion and reserve rosettes will be awarded. The Champion will qualify for the B.S.P.S. David Manning Champion of Champions.
H80FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE WINNERS from classes H70 to H76 inclusive will compete for the Section Champion.
THE W.S. WILLIAMS CUP AND SASH WILL BE AWARDED.
Any novice horse or pony that wins a first prize in its class will be eligible to compete in the Mixed Ridden Novice Championship.
All Champions will compete for the supreme Overall Ridden Championship.

B.S.P.S. Ponies of Show Hunter Type
This show is affiliated to the British Pony Society No 189/10 B.S.P.S. and classes are judged in accordance with their 2010 rules. This show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Championship Show; 1st and 2nd prize winners in classes H81-H84 will qualify. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prize winners in class H85 will qualify provided the pony is registered in accordance with Rule 23 and ridden by a member of the B.S.P.S.
H81B.S.P.S. PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122 cms. Riders not to have attained their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
H82B.S.P.S. PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over exceeding 122 cms but not exceeding 133 cms. Riders not to have attained their 14th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
H83B.S.P.S. PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over exceeding 133 cms but not exceeding 143 cms. Riders not to have attained their 17th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
H84B.S.P.S. PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over exceeding 143 cms but not exceeding 153 cms. Riders not to have attained their 20th birthday before the 1st January in the current year.
1st and 2nd prize winners from classes H81, H82, H83 and H84 will compete for the section championship, Class H82. The Champion will qualify for the B.S.P.S. ‘David Manning’ Champion of Champions.
H85B.S.P.S. MIXED HEIGHT CLASS, BEST NOVICE PONY OF SHOW HUNTER TYPE, 4 years old or over not exceeding 153 cms. Riders must be the correct age for the pony they are exhibiting.
Prize money in classes H81-H85 kindly sponsored by Red Lion Hotel, Llanrwst.
H861st and 2nd prize winners from classes H81H86 to compete for the Championship Sash and Rosette and Reserve Champion Rosette. The CEFN COED UCHA Trophy will be awarded.
Any novice horse or pony that wins a first prize in its class will be eligible to compete in the Mixed Ridden Novice Championship.
All Champions will compete for the supreme Overall Ridden Championship
